I live in Bintaro, South Tangerang, and I lead the Payments and Monetization team at OLX Indonesia: eleven engineers, seventeen backend services, and a PHP monolith we are retiring piece by piece. I studied at ITB and have spent a little over ten years writing backend systems in Go, Node.js and Java, mostly in fintech and marketplaces. I still read code before it ships, because I think a manager who cannot do that eventually stops knowing what the team is carrying.

The writing is not a side project so much as the same habit pointed elsewhere. Payments teach you to care about what is missing: the transaction that did not reconcile, the line that does not agree. Stories and poems start in the same place. I run early in the morning, I am forty-seven books into a 125-book reading plan, and I keep notes on each one at @dsapoetra.reads on Instagram, in Indonesian when the book is.
